Is there anything on earth that is more precious than a newborn baby? Newborn photography exudes a certain calmness that I can’t describe. I know how special and fleeting the first few days of your baby’s life are. When my son was born, I don’t think I ever looked away from him for at least a week, He was not only the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen, but he almost seemed to change and grow right before my eyes. I took countless photographs in a desperate attempt to capture this tiny, peaceful stage forever. Now, only a year later, I cherish every image of his first days because I know he will never be that small again.

My passion for newborn photography stems from a desire to provide every new parent with the opportunity to document their newborn’s first few days as well as turning images of their precious baby into fine art. My style for newborn photography is a little different from the rest of my photographic work. I take a minimalist approach by eliminating background distractions, and implementing muted colors so your newborn is the primary focus of the image.

Enjoying the Holidays While Pregnant

What’s the trick to savoring the holidays while pregnant? Slow down while everyone else is speeding through the season. Growing a healthy baby-to-be is your top priority, so let your friends and family know that parties, marathon shopping sessions, and long-distance travel will be taking a backseat this year. Here are some laid-back ways to celebrate the season for all the expectant mamas who’ll be pregnant at Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.

What do I like about newborn babies images?

They grow so fast,   so cliche but its so true.    I find the newborn stage to be one of the most important to capture because in only a few short months they look completely different.

One of the best parts of my job, is being able to hold a newborn babies for a few hours every single week, or when a parent cries when they see their images for the first time.

How much do you know about this beloved holiday ? “Treat” yourself to a tour of Halloween traditions, from its historical roots to modern celebration ideas to helpful safety tips.

Halloween, traditionally observed on October 31, is associated with the western world and celebrated in North America by the U.S. and Canada. A favorite holiday among children, Halloween is a fun day that encourages them to dress up in costumes, tell spine-tingling stories, and go from door to door collecting candy.

As summer gives way to winter, the colors orange and black are associated with Halloween. Days are shorter and darker because light is waning, so black represents death and nighttime creatures. Orange represents pumpkins, as the gourds match the turning leaves of the changing, cooling season and the decrease in life and abundance.

A typical Baby Photographer session with me is relaxed, calm and probably unlike any other portrait experience you’ve had. I will never hurry you along and we can take all the time needed to be sure that we get a good sampling of portraits for you to choose from.  Newborns / Baby  and young children usually need the most time as they will often require comforting, soothing, snacks, etc.   I like to let the bigger kids play and be crazy so we can capture their real personalities!

There’s nothing sweeter than birth announcements (baby photography) to showcase darling newborns at their very best! You deserve better than generic cards and invitations, and with our unique birth announcements and baby announcements you can share the joy of your new arrival and say “Hello World!” at the same time!  Pick your favorite images and we will do the rest!

Newborns should be photographed between birth and two weeks of age if possible. (Baby Photography) During this time, they retain some of the natural curl from before they were born.  They are also more sleepy and flexible,  so it’s easier to achieve the most desired poses.  

I recommend scheduling a tentative appointment while you are still pregnant.  You can always call to adjust the time if need be.  I’ll do my best to work newborn/baby photography sessions into my schedule but ONLY if you’ve called to notify me of your due date and pre-book a tentative session.

Here are two beautiful little kids who came into get their pictures taken.  They were pretty energetic ages, 2.6 and 1.5 so Mom was sweating by the time we were done!  It was all worth it though, since I was able to capture some wonderful images of them both, and even some of them together. :0)
